Dance of the dead. Ancient Cider Gums on the Tasmanian Plateau  are suffering significant die back.  In life they were the Lairmairrener Nations sacred tree. When tapped , similar to the Maple tree, the sap was collected in clay bowls formed in the trunk hollows and left to ferment into a mild alcoholic drink. In life they bought the cider festival where all the nations gathered to celebrate and trade.  In death they dance their last dance.
